Four Components for Training Special Education Teachers in Behavior Management Skills

Of all the tasks that special education teachers are charged with completing, managing classroom behaviors has been reported as one of most challenging and top reasons leaving field. The task providing effective support in management is also daunting for leadership personnel school systems. This paper provides four components should be considered when planning a professional development (PD) package regarding behavior management. These include didactic presentation, performance feedback, technology, maintenance generalization. have proven to current field research. Further examples supportive details each component how create an PD provided this paper.
